BackJon Lundstrom
Jon joined Green Hammer in 2018 as a Design Project Manager and brings more than 18 years of experience in architecture to our design build team. Growing up in the Midwest, he was surrounded by makers, musicians, and artists who influenced his pursuit of architecture.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in architecture from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, followed by his Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), with a focus on sustainable design. His architecture studies have taken him to Mexico and Italy, where he worked with the Stalker Group on a proposal for the re-use of a former industrial site in Naples.
An architect and Certified Passive House Consultant, Jon is passionate about creating beautiful, comfortable, and healthy buildings. He utilizes a collaborative design approach with his clients, centered around a unified design/build process to meet his client's needs and achieve simple, efficient, and elegant work. He has experience on a wide variety of projects including private homes, multi-family housing, libraries, higher education and corporate offices buildings, as well as master planning, historic preservation, and event design. His work has been published in Architectural Digest and received an AIA design award.
Before joining Green Hammer, Jon managed the design and zoning land use approval of an eleven unit co-housing community in the Cully neighborhood of Portland. He has also worked as a project manager on the build side of the process for residential and landscape projects.
When Jon isn't working, he can often be found enjoying the outdoors either on his bike, in his kayak, or running. He also enjoys listening to live music and playing euchre.
