Olia Poké and Tea is a comfortable, bright, modern restaurant located in the OHSU Knight Cancer Research Building. The owners set out to create a welcoming place where doctors, researchers, students, patients and families can purchase convenient, healthy fast food. They enlisted the help of Green Hammer's design-build team as the general contractor overseeing the TI (tenant improvements) of the 2,118-square-foot leased space. The interior reflects the owners' values and the food being served — healthy and simple. Above the long, modern bar tiled in white, soft lighting illuminates from a low ceiling made of hemlock tongue-and-groove boards salvaged from the main building project. Customers can choose to sit at cozy benches with built-in storage made of sustainably managed white oak custom made made by Green Hammer carpenters.
