BackNathan Turner
With a background in biology and carpentry, Nathan brings a solid understanding of building science and a passion for conservation to his role at Green Hammer. He is a versatile carpenter who pays meticulous attention to detail. Prior to joining our team, he worked in a wide range of settings, including as a field biologist, salmon spawning surveyor, tiny house builder and residential remodeler.
A certified Passive House builder, Nathan joined Green Hammer at a time when he was looking to gain a deeper level of experience with high-performance buildings. He joined the team in March 2020, and hit the ground running. A perfectionist, he often finds himself working on intricate projects that require precision and problem solving. Nate is very thoughtful of others and is calm under stress and therefore calming to be around.
When he is not working, Nathan loves spending time outside. Whether he is whitewater kayaking, hiking or hunting, he loves exploring the Pacific Northwest’s wild places. And if you happen to see him on the job site, he’ll likely be able to tell you which migratory birds happen to be coming through Portland during that month.
