Chelsea is passionate about sustainability, our environment, and creating a better world for her community. She studied acting and environmental studies in college, where she found a zeal for sustainability and a deep appreciation for the intricacies of our planet and the impact humans have on it. After college, she worked as a vegetable farmer and then traveled before enrolling in the Oregon Tradeswomen Program. In 2019, she participated in the Sustainable Home Professionals course through Earth Advantage, where she made a connection with Green Hammer. She's been working here ever since, first as a carpenter before moving into her current role as project engineer.
Chelsea enjoys working outside and building with her hands. "Being able to see what I have accomplished at the end of the day is extremely rewarding, and knowing I am helping the future of the planet by building energy-efficient, high performance homes is truly fulfilling," she says.
When she's not at work, Chelsea loves to swing dance, play the ukelele and sing, as well as hang out with her dog, Rupert. She is always up for any outdoor-focused activity like camping, backpacking and SUPing. She also enjoys her down time. "There's no better way to spend a lazy Sunday than wrapped up with some tea reading a book or working on a crossword in my hammock at the park," she says.
