Bill’s interest in the building industry dates all the way back to his childhood. As a kid, he built models for fun because, as he puts it, “my mind just works that way.” He started working in construction in the early 90s and joined Green Hammer in 2020 eager to learn more about high-performance building. He says he believes the entire design build industry is headed in a more energy- and environmentally conscious direction, especially in Oregon, and he wanted to be part of it.
In his role as production manager, Bill is responsible for scheduling and managing the field staff, determining the number of people and skills needed for each job site. He is also responsible for estimating labor and material takeoffs. The role provides him an opportunity to become very acquainted with almost all aspects of Green Hammer operations. His favorite part of the job is the variety it provides: His days are seldom boring. Working at Green Hammer has been a great way to satisfy his interest and curiosity in green building. An Oregon resident since ‘92, Bill enjoys fishing, camping and hunting. He says Oregon had everything he was looking for. “I even enjoy the rainy weather.” Bill’s more than three decades of experience, his strong work ethic and consistent results have made him an excellent addition to our team.
