As a certified B Corporation® and a “Best for the World” honoree, we share our clients’ commitment to doing well by doing good. Certified B Corps are part of a global movement of businesses using their power to create positive impact. Today, there are over 6,500 certified B Corps worldwide, all legally required to consider the effects of their decisions on workers, customers, suppliers, communities and the environment.
Our Journey to B Corp Certification
To become a certified B Corp, we had to meet rigorous standards in four key areas: governance, workers, community and environment. We answered more than 250 questions about our business practices, including worker salaries and benefits, civic engagement, energy and water usage, purchasing policies and transportation practices. All of our answers were then verified by B Lab®, the nonprofit that certifies and supports B Corporations.
Becoming certified was just the first step in redefining what “success” means for our business. Every day, we look for ways to improve our operations and amplify our positive impact on the community and the environment.
How We Scored on the B Corp Assessment

To earn B Corp certification, a company must score 80 points or more on the B Impact assessment. The median score for businesses that complete the assessment is currently 50.9. In 2022, Green Hammer scored 99.5—almost double the median score. (View our B Impact report here).
We received high marks for:
– Occupational health and safety
– Worker communication
– Civic engagement and local economic development
– Minimizing environmental impact through our building practices
Certification is not permanent—companies must re-certify every three years, a process we completed in 2024.
